D-LIFE DEVO...
“I’m a disciple maker” is something you never hear anyone say. When I speak in other churches, I often ask people how they serve in their church. I get a variety of answers, but no one ever says, “I’m a disciple maker. That’s what I do.” How can this be? To be a disciple maker is a believer’s one main job. It’s the one thing that Jesus commanded us to do (Matt. 28:18-20). It’s not a good suggestion; it’s our Great Commission. The big problem is that most churches focus on having discipleship programs instead of training disciple-making people. Jesus didn’t do it this way. He trained twelve common men to be personal disciple makers, and they turned the world upside down for the Gospel. I have found that many people want to be personal disciple makers, but they don’t know how. If we will focus less on running discipleship programs and more on training disciple makers, we can turn the world upside down again. And we will hear people say, “I’m a disciple maker.” Living the D-Life, Bill
